OVERVIEW /
Andee Baur, a passionate dessertier from Blowing Rock, NC, began her journey into baking by creating a variety of sweet treats for friends, family, and private gatherings. What started as a hobby soon grew into a deep desire to turn her love for baking into a full-fledged business. Her husband, Ron, brought invaluable expertise to the venture, having grown up in a family with a long history of owning and operating pastry shops in New York.
TASK /
With a shared vision of building a strong brand and expanding their reach, Andee and Ron turned to Gusto Design Co. for help in developing a cohesive brand identity, designing packaging, and launching a professional website to support their next phase of growth.
EXECUTION /
Gusto Design Co. played a pivotal role in shaping Andees Petite Desserts, starting with the name itself—intentionally styled without an apostrophe. Specializing in small-batch, handcrafted petite desserts, the brand needed a refined yet inviting identity to reflect its artisanal quality. Gusto Design Co. developed the entire visual and strategic foundation, including custom lettering and typography for a sophisticated logo, packaging design that nods to classic pastry traditions, and a cohesive suite of brand collateral such as menus, stickers, and stamps. The website was also thoughtfully designed to showcase Andee’s offerings and provide a seamless experience for customers. Rejecting the cliché of a “cutesy cupcake logo,” Andee envisioned something more elevated, leading to the creation of a custom script that exudes elegance and charm. The brand’s signature pale shell pink was carefully chosen as a subtle homage to the iconic pastry boxes of the past. Indulge in her expertly crafted treats, including baklava, biscotti, brookies, cheesecake, rugalach, and specialty cookies.
